Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) for Visual Basic .NET


The Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) for Visual Basic .NET credential is for professionals who develop and maintain department level applications, components, web or desktop clients, or back-end data services. The job role covers tasks ranging from implementing requirements to building, deploying and maintaining solutions. This certification is appropriate for program managers, programmer/analysts and software appplication specialists. To earn a MCAD certification on core exam focused on either Web Application Development or XML Windows Application Development in the language of your choice and one core exam on Web Services and Server Components Development must be passed. Also passing one elective exam is required. The following table provides a complete list of courses and the exams.
