    What is the difference between HP Virtual Training Room and HP Virtual Meeting Room?

    HP Virtual Training Room is a full-featured e-learning and meeting environment with many of the features you expect from traditional web collaboration tools plus features to enhance your training events such as breakout rooms, survey, and question management. The backpack feature allows you to easily move and save content from repeatable events to save time and increase productivity.

    HP Virtual Meeting Room is positioned as a simple to use, entry-point collaboration tool focusing on speed, simplicity, and core features. HP Virtual Meeting Room has a subset of the features above for those users needing only the most basic web collaboration features.

    Is your product a software-purchase or a hosted solution?

    HP Virtual Meeting Room is a fully hosted solution - our customers have no servers or server software to buy, install, or maintain. HP provides a highly reliable, secure infrastructure and free technical support as part of your purchase. Your organization and user community can begin realizing savings quickly. With our solutions offering, it is possible to put an e-learning infrastructure on a customer's intranet providing an inside-the-firewall environment. A solution can be constructed as a custom bid.

    Can I create my own Web site for accessing the HP Virtual Rooms?

    Yes, HP customers can set up their own internal Web site for providing access to the HP Virtual Rooms by any participant through a browser.     How do users learn about HP Virtual Rooms?

    Is my online meeting session secure?

    Yes. Your meetings and room content are secured through secure servers, secure access passwords, and 256-bit AES SSL encrypted transmissions. The room data is hosted at a secure data center that utilizes industry-standard secure servers with firewalls, secure (often centralized) logons, 256-bit AES SSL encryption, encrypted VPN communications, intrusion detection systems, and industry-standard background checks of employees. Data stored within the room is secured through multiple layers of security including a firewall blocking HTTP protocol access. You also have the option of deleting content or even deleting your room after an event if you wish to remove sensitive data from the room after your event. Access to a room and all its training content is permitted only to those with an appropriate key. Different keys can be generated for different meetings and separate presenter and participant keys are available. It is the responsibility of the session organizer to distribute the keys only to authorized participants. Presenters can eject unwanted participants from a room.

    Do you offer event registration?

    Yes. With our event services, HP can set up registration and make a web site available to the users to log on and register for your event. A confirmation is sent to these users as they register. This registration web page is hosted by HP and allows for easy entry into the HP Virtual Rooms directly from the registration tool and can auto-manage scheduling conflicts and class size, and provide detailed registration and attendance reports.

    Do you offer event recording?

    Yes, with our event services, recording can be purchased separately for specific events from your sales representative. Contact us at www.hp.com/buy/rooms. Events can also be recorded by using a third-party desktop recording tool. If the capability exists in your client recording software, the audio can also be recorded.

    Can you help with content preparation and delivery?

    HP can provide consulting services to review, modify, or create content, help plan and facilitate live events, or provide detailed skills-gap and training analysis. HP can also provide dedicated in-room technicians during live events. Pricing of these services is determined on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on the type and amount of material involved.

    What languages do you support?

    The HP Virtual Rooms user interface is available in English, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Spanish.
